We believe in the power of music to change a town.
Sonic Boom is more than a festival. It’s a movement — built from the ground up by the musicians, promoters, engineers and fans of Burton upon Trent.
We started small. In 2023, we ran a month-long celebration of new music that brought together over 50 artists and thousands of music lovers. Nearly every show sold out. The Burton Music Collective was born.
In 2024, the first Sonic Boom Festival brought 6,000 people to the heart of town. Hosted by BBC Radio 6 Music’s Chris Hawkins, headlined by The K’s, and supported by a lineup of future greats, we proved what an independent festival could look like — curated by the scene, for the scene.
But this is just the beginning.
We’ve launched TURBO, our free training programme for 15–25-year-olds, giving young people real skills in sound, lighting, photography, production and performance. We’re working towards a permanent, high-quality live venue in Burton — one that’s inclusive, welcoming, and powered by new music.
This shop helps make all of that possible.
Every item you buy is printed on demand, with zero waste. All profits go back into Sonic Boom Music CIC — a not-for-profit, run by volunteers, and supported by East Staffordshire Borough Council and Arts Council England.
So if you believe in what we’re doing, wear it.
